Enable America expanded into San Antonio in 2009, thanks to a generous grant from Clark Construction. In conjunction with Disabled Veterans Employment Mentoring Month last November, Enable America held its first local mentoring event at the Clark/Hunt Construction site, located at the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) offices at Ft. Sam Houston. Seven disabled veterans received hands-on work experience throughout the day-long event. From that program, one participant was interviewed and hired by a project sub-contractor, JSR Inc., and reported for work the following Monday.

Building on the success of the Clark/Hunt program, Enable America is currently working to expand San Antonio program offerings in 2010. This includes providing additional employment mentoring to disabled veterans as well as all people with disabilities, while adding more San Antonio businesses to serve as mentor organizations.
